Packing Out

So you may have noticed that I took down a couple of posts.  All of your comments were so sweet- very much appreciated!- but after reflecting, I felt like I was so snarky and I certainly don't want to discourage others!  So, conscience took me to task and moving on.

Literally.

Mr. YH tends to pack at the last minute.  It stresses me out to no end, but he spoke my love language this weekend and got busy organizing his stuff...at 9 p.m. on Saturday night!  Whatever!  I'll take it!

Sveta came today and helped, too. Moral support while cleaning out the bathroom: priceless.  I feel like we got a lot accomplished and I can finish the final organizational push before the packers arrive in the morning.  I am about to find a box, however, and dump in my random things that I don't want to deal with any longer (as if I'll feel any more like doing it in 3 months)!

Various piles around the house
(I do a lot of prep on this end prior to packers because I'm picky
about how I find it when I unpack on the other end.  It works for me.):

"Balcony: NO!"

Because this is what goes on the plane with us.

The master bath has a similar restriction so the unaccompanied baggage
in the sauna stays separate and can be pulled out for next week's pack out.

Mr. YH got his award on Friday afternoon.  He said it was really quite bizarre how the presentation of it went down.  And the Ukrainians he wanted there weren't, so we're still on for an awards ceremony on Monday.  Thankfully, three others are getting awards and the guys decided to just hire a caterer so we wives have a reprieve!

Once everything is crated on Wednesday and the truck drives away, relief will flood in and we can enjoy the last few days.  Thanks for the encouragement and prayers!  I'll try to do a big photo dump that has nothing to do with the move while I'm supervising packing!

  2. Okay, so I said before you would make a great party planner/event coordinator? You could also be one of those organizational coaches. Ya know, one of those people who tells other people how to manage and organize their crap! WOW! I just get giddy looking at all your packing pictures. LOL. Everything is so tidy. I organize my food on the conveyer belt so that it gets bagged in a certain order... because I'm picky how I find it when I unload it and put food away. hahahaha! ;) Well, those M&M's will be history soon. Sending prayers to you and your family. Safe travels! :)

  3. Aw, man, I didn't read the blog for a few days and missed the posts you took down. I always love a good controversy. Ha ha.

  4. Like Brandi, I organize my food on the conveyor belt too! You are speaking my language with all your organization. I just wish my boys spoke that same language.
