The Natural State (aka Where We're Headed Next)

So, July-ish we'll be heading from point A to point B.

                                                                      Thereabouts.

The Boy wanted to know if they speak English there.  Mr. YH told him no. Ha!

So.  Suspense is over and we can move on.  For the record, this was not listed as any of our preferences (we got five), and as you can see, they are not obligated to give us what we would like.  In this case, it would have been helpful had they even looked in Mr. YH's file.  In short, they mislabeled him and then wanted to give him a staff job (already checked that box) and this is what was leftover.

BUT, we know God is bigger than the Air Force, and that in whatever circumstances we find ourselves, in Him we can {and will choose to} be content. (Phil. 4:11)  He has a plan for us and we really are excited!

  1. Great attitude, Tara, it will rub off on your kids!!! And for the record, I am perfectly happy with LR. I have 2 college roomies that live there, too. This might mean I get to see you!!!

  2. Well, that is closer then Ukraine. The Marti's will be in the same state so that is something. Do you like the Duggars? Cammie and the girls got to hang out with them at a park recently... and that is the extent of my knowledge/relationship with "The Natural State."

Can I say ROAD TRIP!? ;)

  4. They don't speak English! *Snort* Tell The Boy to start practicing his 'y'alls'! ;)

Grrrrr. How do they not look in his file?! Seriously. *rolling eyes* You are right though, God is bigger! And? You are just 3 little ol' states away from the BEACH! MY beach, anyway. Maybe y'all will need a FL vacay at some point?! ;)

At least they came through with the WARM part. You will for sure get a nice summer there (no more gray, colorless, cold with heat rationing!) :)

  5. Yeah! Other than the crazy high income taxes and state taxes Arkansas is a great state. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! You will only be a few hours away!

Hey, the weather sure beats Ukraine!
I remember when we filled out those request sheets- my dad let us all vote... 5 votes for Bermuda landed us in Rhode Island.

  8. I'm sorry it's not your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th choice. On the positive side, I can come visit because we won't be so far apart! :) That makes me happy! (being a tad selfish). At least you know now. The waiting must have been horrible. Have a wonderful Resurrection Celebration weekend. Love you. :)

  9. Well you have a wonderful attitude about it, that will surely help with the move! We know there are big pros, but also big cons to being a military family. Gotta roll with the punches basically.

  12. Awww...I was hoping you'd end up in Colorado Springs. My kids still remember you from Kiev and taking us on the Metro...oh and those fabulous pumpkin muffins.
Glad you are coming back to the states though. Arkansas isn't too bad if you can learn Southern!
