A Touch of Fall

I didn't send a lot over for decorating. Mainly because I got rid of most everything so I could start over and be more judicial with my choices. I hate clutter, and I hate having to pack this stuff up every couple of years and storing it the rest of the time {in new houses whose storage spaces and capacities vary greatly}.

It all seemed like a great idea until, of course, I was itching to decorate and the nearest Hobby Lobby or Michael's is oh, just a few thousand miles away on another continent!

Cue the trumpet...Dad to the rescue! My dad now has one very spoiled bird dog. I just so happened to call right after they had been hunting and returned with a pheasant. I asked for the feathers, and my dad, known for doing a lot for his only daughter, sent them over.

Mr. YH came home and said, "What in the world?!"

Mrs. YH said, "Dad sent them to me. He'll be thrilled!"

{Surely, he will be, right?!}

  2. Oh my gosh, you have the best dad ever! Next time you see him give him an extra hug from me- a complete stranger who is missing her dad right about now.

  3. hi Tara! I love the feathers! How smart of you to think to ask for them and how sweet of your father to send them! I bet it would be a bit frustrating not to be able to get to a Michael's or HL when one needs to. HL just arrived in NH- I liked them when we lived in Dallas. And, your white pitcher from World Market... Now, that is a store I dearly miss- I loved that place. It would be fun to see a post of what kind of shops like this/interiors are available there- is there anything?

    Hope you and your family are well.
